Once in a while, we get mail that offers a chance to pause, reflect, and remember that what we do really means so much to so many. The annual drawing for an international wine trip, the culmination of the passport program will be this weekend at the Blues & Wine Festival. We got this note from Trish this week:

“Hi John, I was wondering if there is any way we can get our passports back after the drawing. The passports are a little sentimental to both my fiancé and I, and it was hard to turn them in – we just didn’t want to miss out on a chance to win the amazing trip.We started the wine tour last February. It was actually our first date – Valentines day weekend at Cape May Winery for the Wine and Chocolate tour. We spent the past year traveling NJ and visiting all the beautiful wineries our state has to offer. It really has been an amazing adventure. We discovered some parts of NJ we never knew even existed and tasted so many wonderful wines. Our last stop was this past January at Willow Creek Winery – Where my, then boyfriend planned an extraordinary weekend which all started with his proposal in the middle of the 7200 square foot barn at Willow Creek Winery!

The wineries have really been a huge part of our lives this past year, its where we started, where we fell in love, where we got engaged, and maybe even where we will be starting our lives together as husband and wife (still looking at wedding venues)!!

It really has been an amazing year and I would like to thank the Garden State Wine Growers Association for a beautiful experience that we will never forget.

THANK YOU!!
Trish

What can we say? NJ Wine…it’s a love story in more ways than one. Congratulations to the happy couple!
