Wine Tasting & Networking Reception Promotes New Jersey Wines

WHAT: The Garden State Wine Growers Association is a proud sponsor of the annual New Jersey Tourism Industry Association NJ Conference on Tourism, held December 1-2, 2022 at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. The conference, themed “Growing New Jersey by Tourism,” offers an opportunity for industry professionals, tourism and hospitality students, community and government leadership, and emerging talent to experience keynotes, panel discussions and network in a popular New Jersey resort location. Dueling pianists from the Flying Ivories will be the entertainment of the evening.

A highlight of the conference is the Networking Reception presented by the Garden State Wine Growers Association to be held Thursday evening, December 1, at 5:30 pm. Participants will discover New Jersey Wine Country, one sip at a time.

New Jersey is home to four thriving American Viticultural Areas (AVAs). Vineyards and wineries are plentiful throughout the Cape May Peninsula AVA, the Outer Coastal Plain AVA covering 9 southern counties, the Warren Hills AVA, and the Central Delaware Valley AVA. Pepenella, CDME President NJTIA. “It is with great excitement that the Garden State Wine Growers Association is supporting our 2022 Tourism Conference as a  Premium Sponsor and will also be presenting our much anticipated Thursday Evening Network Reception in Resorts Atlantic City. We have had the continued privilege to work alongside this dedicated group growing tourism into one of the Garden State’s most important assets.”

“The New Jersey wine industry is a major magnet for tourists and tourism-driven expenses. New Jersey’s ‘wine country’ regions generate 272,500 tourist visits and $92.48 million in annual tourism expenditures, benefiting local economies and tax bases,” said Devon Perry, Executive Director, Garden State Wine Growers Association. “This has a real economic impact, plus the wine industry promotes agritourism and sustainability in the Garden State. Cheers to New Jersey’s travel and tourism industry!”
