NJ WINE EXPO BRINGS TOGETHER
LARGEST GATHERING OF NJ WINERIES
(Behind the scenes look at the signature New Jersey Wine Month event)
(Tuesday, November 18): The NJ Wine Expo unfolded seamlessly this past Saturday at Bell Works in Holmdel, delivering a milestone moment for the Garden State wine community. With the largest gathering of New Jersey wineries ever brought together under one roof, the NJ Wine Expo offered attendees a full day of tasting, learning, and celebrating the fast-growing NJ wine industry.
Wines were poured, and meaningful connections were made among consumers, vendors, winemakers, media personnel, and industry insiders. As the premier event of November, New Jersey Wine Month, the NJ Wine Expo once again raised the bar for what a statewide wine celebration can be. “The NJ Wine Expo is the largest gathering of New Jersey wineries, bringing the industry together like no other event,” Dustin Tarpine, Chairman of the GSWGA Board and owner of Cedar Rose Winery, says.
Early Access ticket holders began pouring in promptly at 11 am and received an exclusive giveaway bag from our generous sponsors, such as TD Bank, Visit New Jersey, KDV Wine Services, The NJ Department of Agriculture, and Wine & Beer Supply/Gino Pinto!
Emcee and wine journalist, Hank Zona, kicked off the event by leading dynamic conversations throughout the day with winery owners, consumers, and industry insiders as the NJ Wine Expo’s “man in the vines.” His exchanges provided deeper insight into the increasingly positive feedback from attendees and participating winery professionals, as well as how consumers can better engage with the state’s wineries. “I was impressed with how many attendees were back from last year’s first Expo, this time expecting and having another great experience. One theme that came from both sides of the tasting tables–everyone’s ability to really engage with one another.”
Our photography and videography partners beautifully documented these conversations and the energy surrounding them. Tyler Constantino and the PNDA Creative team captured video and photo highlights from the entire event. Brent Donoway and Haddon Film Co. followed Hank Zona through his many discussions, preserving the candid, in-the-moment exchanges that define this event. And MJ Towler, otherwise known as “The Black Wine Guy” on social media, brought it all together with a live podcast recorded on-site. We are grateful to each of these talented creators for helping us capture and share the story of this monumental day for the New Jersey wine community.
A highlight of the day was the announcement of Jen Bell as the winner of the Garden State Wine Growers Association’s coveted 2025 Passport to New Jersey Wine Country Contest, selected randomly by Ed Wengryn, New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture out of the Governor’s Cup. Ms. Bell’s commitment to visiting every participating winery through the Passport Program earned her the grand prize: a personalized VIP experience in New Jersey for two.
The Garden State Wine Growers Association extends its sincere gratitude to all participating wineries and to the sponsors whose support made the event possible:

“The NJ Wine Expo is the best way to taste wines, talk to winemakers, and take home your favorite bottles from New Jersey’s diverse wineries all in one beautiful venue. There is no better time than New Jersey Wine Month to celebrate all that Garden State Wineries have to offer, and the NJ Wine Expo is the perfect event to do just that,” says Bellview Winery’s David Gardner, events chair of the GSWGA board.
The Garden State Wine Growers Association looks forward to continuing its mission of raising awareness and appreciation for New Jersey’s thriving wine industry and to welcoming even more guests at the NJ Wine Expo for years to come.
Following this momentum is spotlighting holiday shopping and events at NJ wineries during our beloved NJ Holiday Wine Trail Weekend, kicking off annually on Black Friday.
Cheers to New Jersey Wine Month!
