We ask for your help and generosity in support of the National Brain Tumor Society: Miles for Milestones. We are walking in honor of Erin Gallagher a 3 year Brain Cancer Survivor, in support of those battling this disease, and in remembrance of those who are no longer with us. Our team “No One Fights Alone #TeamErin” has been supporting the walk for the past 3 years.
Please let us take a moment of your time to introduce you to Erin. Erin is a 30 yr old graduate of Rowan University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology. As an active member of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, Erin chaired numerous Philanthropy and Fundraising Events. Erin attended Kingsway Regional High School and continued to support her alma mater as an instructor for Kingsway Marching Band Color Guard. She shared her spirit and passion to the Color Guard from her experiences from CPEX Winterguard and Jersey Surf Drum Corp. Erin is currently employed as a PreSchool teacher’s assistant at the West End School in West Deptford. She is known for her tenacity, vibrant personality, and a heart of gold.
Erin was diagnosed in November 2017 with a rare form of brain cancer, Glioma, Grade 3. (Anaplastic Astrocycoma)
Erin underwent a full craniotomy awake surgery during which the neurosurgeons were able to remove 90% of the tumor. Erin finished 33 rounds of radiation and a year of chemotherapy treatment. She continues to have periodic MRIs to monitor stability.
We are reaching out to raise awareness for brain cancer and ask for your support. Our hope is that you will support our fundraising efforts.
