The Bucks County Women’s Chorus, an 80-voice ensemble from suburban Philadelphia, will entertain Laurita Winery patrons with an afternoon of great choral music. The first half of the concert will feature Broadway show tunes, standards, multi-cultural pieces, and more, enhanced by solos and duets by members of the choir. During the second half, the chorus encourages you to get ready for the upcoming holiday season, and will entertain you with a vast selection of Christmas music, both sacred and secular. There might even be some audience participation!!
The Bucks County Women’s Chorus was formed in 2012 and since that time has performed more than 50 concerts in the Greater Philadelphia/Central New Jersey area and has embarked upon two national tours, one to Northern Italy and most recently to Hungary and Austria. The group is made up of women aged 25 to 85 from more than 30 towns through Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Mercer, and Hunterdon Counties. They are known for their beautiful sound and enthusiastic presentations and they are excited to be performing at Laurita for the first time.
The chorus is under the direction of Patricia Guth, a graduate of Westminster Choir College, Princeton. Pat has been directing church and community choirs for nearly 40 years.
