Holiday Happenings

We’re kicking off the holiday season with the New Jersey Holiday Wine Trail, a Thanksgiving weekend event that’s become a favorite tradition for wine lovers. From Friday, November 25 to Sunday, November 27, each participating winery puts its unique festive spin on the weekend. Visitors can expect to find events and activities to put them in the holiday spirit including holiday bazaars and crafts vendors, fire pits, food trucks, live music, wine-spiked hot chocolate, comedy shows, photos with Santa, raffles, special discounts, and more.

Do some holiday hopping at the wineries or stop after shopping for post-shopping relaxation. Our Holiday Trail event page lists some of the participating wineries and their holly jolly fun. If you don’t see your favorite winery there, check its website or Facebook page for its Thanksgiving weekend events.

A few other things to know before you head out this first holiday weekend:

  • Some wineries require reservations. Others are first come first serve.
  • Not all wineries allow you to bring your own snacks or food, and no wineries allow outside alcohol.
  • While the majority of NJ’s wineries are family-friendly, some are 21 and up.

Check with the winery if you’re unsure of its policies.

The Holiday Wine Trail is just the start of what New Jersey wineries have thoughtfully planned for their guests through the end of the year.
