And the winner is . . .
Kathleen Hunter of Ridley Park, PA!
Grand Prize Winner of the Garden State Wine Growers Association 2010 Passport to NJ Wine Country Sweepstakes, Kathleen Hunter, won a memorable Trip for Two to the Italian Wine Country. Her award-winning completed passport was selected at the Blues & Wine Festival, May 29, 2011, which officially closed the 2010 Passport year.
“As winner of this years trip to Italy, I would like to thank the association for a WONDERFUL trip. We spent a week in Montalcino at Poggiarellino, a working vineyard. We toured the winery and tasted their delicious Brunello and their young brunello. Our tour, tasting, and dinner at Poggio Antico was fantastic. We spent a morning at a cooking class at La Canonica where they make olive oil as well as wine. It was quite as experience to meet the family when they came for the lunch we had cooked of typical Tuscan food. We enjoyed the great wine, food, and vistas vising Pienza, Montepulciano, Assisi, Cortona, Abbia San Salvatore, Buonconvento, and many more. We ended our trip with an overnight in Florence and three nights in Venice. I tried to be an ambassador for the New Jersey Wine Growers Association everywhere we visited. Last year I really enjoyed visiting all the wineries and vineyards in the passbook. I met at lot of nice people, learned a lot about New Jersey wines, and went to parts of the state that I had never seen. I really appreciated the opportunity that you gave to me to visit Italy. Thank you so much for this great experiece.”
Sincerely,
Kathleen Hunter |
