New Jersey now has 30+ award-winning wineries located in 10
counties. The wineries are located in some of the most beautiful areas of the
state and produce wines that win prestigious international and national medals.
To make it easier for people to explore New Jersey wineries, the Garden State
Wine Growers Association introduced New Jersey Wine
Trails that provide information and directions for day trips to several
wineries. Now, the Association has taken this a step further and introduced the
"New Jersey Wine Country Passport." The Wine Country Passport helps
visitors explore New Jersey wineries by providing a map, addresses and phone
numbers for the State's wineries. Visitors simply take the Passport to each
winery they visit and have it stamped. Once the Passport is fully stamped, it
is mailed back to the Garden State Wine Growers Association. The Association
then mails a gift to everyone who has sent in a completed Passport.
The
2006 Wine Country Passport gift was a set of crystal Riedel tasting glasses.
($100 Value) The New Jersey Wine Country Passport can be picked up
at participating wineries and at Garden State Wine Growers Association events.
