The beautiful Burlington County Fairgrounds, located on the easily-accessible Route 206 in Springfield Township, will be the setting for the Jersey Fresh Wine Festival, promoted by the Garden State Wine Growers Association on Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8 from noon to 5 p.m. The Jersey Fresh Wine Festival will help usher in the harvest season for wineries throughout the state as it is hosted for the second straight year at the Burlington County Fairgrounds, which encompasses 640 acres and is home to the Burlington County Fair.

Eighteen GSWGA wineries will be on hand to provide sampling of more than 250 locally-produced wines at the event, which will also feature live music and crafts and food vendors. Tickets for the festival are $25 a person at the gate. Advance discount tickets for $20 can be purchased by clicking here. Large groups and bus groups can call 1-609-588-0085 for more information. Admission includes a souvenir wine glass.

A highlight of the weekend will be live musical entertainment. The featured performers for the Jersey Fresh Wine Festival are The VooDUDES on Sept. 7 and 9 South on Sept. 8.

The VooDUDES combine New Orleans funk, blues, boogie-woogie and honky-tonk with a pinch of Zydeco, Southern soul and Caribbean party music to create their unique sound.

In the vast VooDUDES library of original songs, nothing is sacred. Whether it's imploding the hits of Hank Williams into the ultimate drivin' and cryin' song ("That Hank Williams Feeling"), or eulogizing the Southern jazz funeral ("Party When You're Gone"), The VooDUDES do it all--and with a beat that will make you move your feet.

The VooDUDES have been featured in numerous festivals, including The Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival, Philadelphia's "Jambalaya Jam", New York's "Benson & Hedges Blues Festival" and Ft. Lauderdale's "Crazy Crawfish Fest." They've shared the stage with many of their favorite musicians--among them, Dr. John, Levon Helm, Branford Marsalis, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Buckwheat Zydeco, C.J. Chenier, Chubby Carrier, Mavis Staples and more. The band has performed everywhere from Montreal, Canada to New Orleans. The band has also toured in Europe and has produced six CDs.

9 South is a high energy party band blending Classic Rock, and 70's pop with 80's hits and today's party rock favorites. The band features dual lead guitars, a driving backbeat and varying vocal styles allowing them to be, pretty much, everything to everybody. Playing everything from Skynyrd to Springsteen, Beatles to Bon Jovi and Kiss to Kid Rock, 9 South delivers an extremely, fun and interactive performance that will leave you and your friends happy and thoroughly exhausted.
